Injury-accident reported on I-70

An injury-accident was reported at 3:52 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, on eastbound I-70 near the I-635 exit, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

A Honda Accord was eastbound on I-70 when it made an avoidance maneuver to the middle of the road for stopped traffic ahead, the trooper’s report stated.

That caused a Dodge Dart to strike the rear of the Accord, according to the trooper’s report. The Accord then spun out and struck the side of a trailer attached to a semi truck, the trooper’s report stated.

The driver of the Honda, a 31-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.

A 10-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Honda had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.

The driver of the Dodge Dart, a 24-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man, had no apparent injury, the trooper’s report stated.

The driver of the semi, a 31-year-old man from Mount Vernon, Iowa, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.

Vehicle overturns after hitting bridge rail on I-435, five injured

A vehicle overturned after hitting a bridge rail on Saturday night on I-435 over Woodend, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

The injury-accident at 9:47 p.m. April 30 involved two vehicles, according to the trooper’s report.

A Chevrolet 3500 was northbound on I-435 when it struck a Ford Maverick that was northbound, according to the trooper’s report. Then the Chevrolet struck the bridge rail, overcorrected and overturned, the trooper’s report stated.

The Chevrolet came to rest upright on I-435, according to the report. There were five persons injured in the Chevrolet, with four of them possibly serious, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 31-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with a suspected serious injury, the trooper’s report stated. His city and state of residence was not known.

An 18-year-old man in the Chevrolet was taken to a hospital with a suspected serious injury, the trooper’s report stated. His city and state address was unknown, the report stated.

Injury-accident reported on I-70

An injury-accident was reported at 7:10 p.m. Friday, April 22, on westbound I-70 near K-7, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash log.

Three vehicles were westbound on I-70, with a Jeep Cherokee and a Chevy Volt stopped in traffic, according to the report. An Oldsmobile Cutlass struck the Jeep in the rear, causing the Jeep to strike the Chevy Volt, the report stated.

The driver of the Cutlass, a 33-year-old man from Topeka, was not injured, the report stated.

A passenger in the Cutlass, a 35-year-old Topeka woman, had a possible serious injury and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Jeep, a 49-year-old Parkville, Missouri, man, had no apparent injury, according to the report.

The driver of the Chevy Volt, a 48-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man, had no apparent injury, the report stated.
