It’s three wins in a row for T-Bones after Friday night’s results

The T-Bones are on a three-game winning streak after Friday night’s results at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan.

The T-Bones won 9-8 over Amarillo in a rain-delayed game on Friday afternoon. The game was suspended Thursday night because of rain.

It was tied 6-6 when the game continued on Friday. Amarillo scored two in the eighth.

The T-Bones came from behind in the bottom of the ninth. Brian Erie scored when Joe Rapp hit a single, Then, with two out and three on base, Jake Blackwood hit a single that scored two runs.

The second game Friday, the T-Bones beat Amarillo 4-1.

Blake Holovach pitched a five-hitter in five and a third innings and struck out three in the game, including the 200th of his career.

Blackwood scored the first run on a wild pitch in the first inning.

In the seventh inning, Brian Erie hit a ground ball, and a throw from the third baseman to first drew the first baseman off the bag, allowing Robby Kuzdale to score from third.

Blackwood hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the eighth inning. The last T-Bones run came when C.J. Henry hit a single to score Nate Tenbrink.

T-Bones snap 10-game losing streak, winning 8-1

The T-Bones, who return home tonight, won 8-1 over Sioux City on Wednesday night, snapping a 10-game losing streak.

The T-Bones pounded the Sioux City Explorers for eight runs and 14 hits. Kyle Robinson and Vladimir Frias hit home runs for the T-Bones. The T-Bones scored six of the runs in the sixth inning.

T-Bones starter Casey Barnes got the win. He pitched seven innings, giving up five hits, one run and two walks. He struck out four. Aaron Baker and Kris Regas came in to relieve and finish the game, giving up no runs.

The T-Bones, now 2-10, play tonight at 7:05 p.m. against Amarillo at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan. It will be Throwdown Thursday $1.25 beer night.

Ten losses in a row, T-Bones overdue for a victory

After losing 10 in a row – the one last night by a score of 9-8 – the T-Bones go back to work tonight in Sioux City.

Tonight’s game, which starts at 7:05 p.m., will be the last one of this road trip, with the T-Bones coming home to Kansas City, Kan., on Thursday, June 4, to play Amarillo at 7:05 p.m.

Last night, Bobby Doran started the game, lasting 3.1 innings and giving up seven hits, eight runs and three walks. But it was Jonathan Kountis who got the loss for the T-Bones. Kountis pitched two innings, giving up two hits, one run and one walk. He struck out three.

Many T-Bones got hits Tuesday night, and two of them — Nate Tenbrink in the third inning and Kyle Robinson in the sixth inning — hit home runs.

Some promotions are scheduled for the T-Bones’ upcoming home stand. Thursday, June 4, is Throwdown Thursday, with beer selling for $1.25.

Friday, June 5, is Back to the Future Night, with a special appearance by Claudia Wells, who played Jennifer Parker in the “Back to the Future” movie. A DeLorean is expected to be on display. The Falcon skydiving team will skydive into the outfield before the game, which starts at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday is Agriculture Night, with a free T-Bones cowbell giveaway. The first 1,500 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark will receive a free T-Bones cowbell. The game starts at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:35 p.m.
