by Brian Turrel

Senior basketball players from local high schools faced off in the 5th annual SHUKC All-Star Game at Basehor-Linwood High School on Thursday evening.

The game pitted the Kansas City-Atchison League (KCAL) schools against the Kaw Valley League (KVL).

KVL fell behind early by 14 points, but came back to win the game 69 to 68. Jalen Taylor hit a free throw with 3 seconds left to give KVL the victory.
