Motorcyclist injured in wreck on I-70

A motorcyclist was injured in a wreck at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, on west bound I-70 at Minnesota Avenue, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

The Yamaha motorcycle was westbound on I-70 when it ran over some gravel or loose dirt, according to the trooper’s report. The motorcyclist then lost control, striking the barrier wall and skidding to a stop, the report stated.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Leavenworth, Kansas, was taken to a hospital with a possible serious injury, the trooper’s report stated.

He was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
