Kyle Busch won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Friday night at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, after engine trouble caused Ben Rhodes to drop back.
Rhodes, driving a Toyota, was leading until eight laps left, when his engine quit.
Busch drove a Toyota to the finish line. The Toyota Tundra 250 had four different leaders, with Busch leading in the first two stages of the race.
In second place was Johnny Sauter in a Chevrolet, followed by John Hunter Nemechek, also driving a Chevrolet.
Sauter currently leads the points race for the truck series. Christopher Bell is in second place for the rankings, just two points behind Sauter.
In fifth place in tonight’s truck race was Chase Briscoe, who won in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race at Kansas Speedway last year.
Racing continues on Saturday at the Kansas Speedway, when the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling 400 takes place at 6:30 p.m.
In the pole position for the Go Bowling 400 will be Ryan Blaney, with Joey Logano in the second position and Martin Truex Jr. starting third. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will start fourth, Jamie McMurray 12th, and Clint Bowyer, 30th.
