On today, Giving Tuesday, NASCAR driver Jennifer Jo Cobb is teaming up with Kansas Speedway employees to deliver teddy bears to ill children at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas.

“It is an honor to work with the NASCAR Foundation and the Kansas Speedway on Giving Tuesday and I am looking forward to sharing smiles with the children in our Kansas City community in such great need of healing and hope,” said Cobb, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas.

Operation Speedy Bear Brigade is a NASCAR Foundation program that also is at 23 other locations across the country.

“The Speedy Bear Brigade truly demonstrates the generosity of NASCAR Nation,” The NASCAR Foundation Executive Director Nichole Krieger said. “The bears we are providing will put smiles on the faces of so many children in the hospital and will hopefully ease some of the pain that they may be going through.”

This effort is organized through The NASCAR Foundation’s Speediatrics Children’s Fund, which supports needs expressed by hospitals, specialty clinics, camps and others providing children’s medical and health care services.
