New Kansas Speedway race dates for 2020 are out; May 2020 races moved back two weeks

Kansas Speedway today announced the dates for the 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races.

Kansas Speedway’s spring race will move back two weeks to Sunday, May 31, 2020, while the fall race, which is the first race of the third round, will be Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020. Start times and TV networks will be released at a later date.

“We appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in making changes to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule,” Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren said in a news release. “Our fans have been asking for a summer race date change because of the number of high school and college graduations in our area. With most schools out by the end of May, our new summer date should not only allow fans to plan their vacations for Kansas Speedway, but they will also be able to officially kick off summer here!”

Dates for the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series races will be announced at a later date.

Racing returns to Kansas Speedway on Friday, May 10, 2019, with the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series and on Saturday, May 11, 2019, with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. In October, the NASCAR XFINITY Series (Kansas Lottery 300) returns on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (Hollywood Casino 400) on Oct. 20, 2019, both of which are playoff races.

The first race weekend of the season at Kansas Speedway is in May with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series under the lights. In the fall, the NASCAR playoffs return with the NASCAR XFINITY Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Also in October, the ARCA Menards Series returns to Kansas Speedway.

Kansas Speedway offers new ticket option for families

Kansas Speedway is offering a new ticket option for families in 2019 for each Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race – the Family 4 Pack.

Each package includes two adult tickets and two youth tickets (children 12 and under) for $199 for either Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race (May 11 or Oct. 20).

Fans can also call Kansas Speedway’s guest experience team to ask about special offers on scanners and FanVisions.

Season and single race tickets, along with camping are also currently on sale for 2019.

Tickets for 2019 Kansas Speedway races now on sale

Tickets for the May 11 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the May 10 NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series races under the lights are now available, according to an announcement from the speedway. Prices begin at $64 and $25.

On May 10, children 12 and younger are free with an adult admission. Youth tickets are available in select sections starting at $29 for the May 11 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

In the fall, tickets for the Hollywood Casino 400 playoff race start at $64 for adults and $29 for youth 12 and under in select sections.

For the Kansas Lottery 300 on Oct. 19, tickets start at $40 and children 12 and under are free with an adult ticket.

On. Oct. 18, tickets for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards series finale are $10 for general admission.

Fans can upgrade their experience with a pre-race pass, Ignition Garage hospitality, and a reserved tailgating space.

Kansas Speedway also has reserved camping spots for the season that start at just $230, or tent camping that is $190 for the season. A limited number of weekend camping spots are available in Kansas Speedway’s Phoenix and Richmond campgrounds, along with tent camping.

In preparation for the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, Kansas Speedway is giving fans a chance to predict the Daytona 500 winner, with one contest winner receiving two Hot Passes to their choice of one of Kansas Speedway’s 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races (May 11 or Oct. 20).
