Teen Talent Show planned today

The Kansas City, Kan., Teens Have Talent Show will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 22 at the Main Kansas City, Kansas Public Library Library, 625 Minnesota, Kansas City, Kan. Audience members will get to vote for their favorite performance.

Family film to be shown

The film, “Frozen,” will be shown from 2 to 4 pm. March 22 at the South Kansas City, Kansas Public Library, 3104 Strong Ave., Meeting Room A, Kansas City, Kan. The film is about a fictional epic journey with Everest-like conditions.

Children’s craft planned

Children who are 5 and older may participate in a Spring Flowers craft from 2 to 3 p.m. March 22 at the West Wyandotte Library auditorium, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kan. Children will make colorful flowers from tissue paper. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade to start at 11 a.m.

The 42md annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, in Kansas City, Mo. It is an approximately two-hour event in the midtown area.

The route is on Broadway from Linwood to 43rd Street. Several roads are closed along the route.

Parade dignitaries include Frank White, grand marshal; James B. Nutter Sr.,  the Mike Murphy honorary Irishman; Pat O’Neill family, the Cullinan Family Spirit Award; and Tim Moses, flag bearer.
