Speedway to hold Swap Meet July 18-19

Looking for something automotive? Or maybe an antique? Look no further than Kansas Speedway on July 18-19 as the Speedway holds its first swap meet.

The swap meet, which will have over 1,200 automotive related spaces, will take place in the Kansas Speedway infield from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 18 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 19. Kansas Speedway’s Garage C will have craft and collectible items.

A car corral will be available with cars in the corral available for purchase on the day of the event.

Tickets for each day are $5 per car and will be available on July 18-19. Richard Petty Driving Experience will be on track both days and concessions will be available in Sprint FanWalk.

Budget on agenda for school board meeting today

The Kansas City, Kan., school district budget is on the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. July 15 meeting at the Central Office, 2010 N. 59th St., Kansas City, Kan.

Several other items, including the election of new board officers, are on the agenda. The Kansas City, Kan., Public Library’s proposed budget also is on the agenda.

Also on the agenda are approval of contracts with Google for school sites, and many other items.

Adventures in Learning to be held Friday, July 18, at Grace Lutheran

Adventures in Learning, a free program of the Shepherd’s Center of Kansas City, Kan., will take place beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Grace Lutheran, 3333 Wood Ave.

The building offers entry-level parking and easy drop off of both people and equipment. Everyone is welcome to attend part or all of the day’s activities. The schedule for Friday, July 18:
