Speakers for the Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast on Saturday, July 20, will be candidates running for local offices who are Democrats.
The breakfast will begin with a buffet at 8:15 a.m. with the program following at 9 a.m. at Las Islas Marias, 7516 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The breakfast is open to all Democrats. The cost of the buffet is $10; students and those on limited income pay $6. It is not necessary to purchase a breakfast to attend. Those who do plan to purchase a breakfast are encouraged to make reservations to [email protected] by Friday, July 19. Reservations are not required to attend.
Each Unified Government Commission candidate speaking at this month’s breakfast will have four minutes to speak; Board of Public Utilities candidates will have 2.5 minutes each; and school board and Kansas City, Kansas Community College Board of Trustees candidates will have 90 seconds each. The candidates will be able to bring campaign literature.
