Grinter Friends will be holding a Jamboree on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Grinter Barn, 1400 S. 78th St,, Kansas City, Kansas.
The MP3 Band will be playing favorite songs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Those attending may make requests for songs. There will be dancing.
Admission is $7 and a snack bar opens at 5:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public.
A Zoom program on Medicare basics is planned from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9.
Denise Dias with the Johnson County K-State Research and Extensive will give the educational class for adults who are newly retired or considering retirement soon. The program covers four basic parts of Medicare and help recipients begin the process of working through Medicare.

The Central Avenue Betterment Association (CABA) had the avenue abuzz all day and into the evening with the Día de los Muertos celebration. Crowds descended for food, music and activities with a Mexican flavor.
The event included a car show, live music from several stages, food trucks and vendors, crafts and apparel vendors, ending in a parade as evening fell.
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a holiday of remembrance for departed loved ones, recognized in Mexico on Nov. 1. In the United States, it’s also become a celebration of Mexican heritage.
