A car ran into a house in Kansas City, Kan., on Saturday afternoon.
The car ran into the garage and corner of the house in the midtown area of Kansas City, Kan., damaging the garage, a sport utility vehicle parked inside the garage, the kitchen, a washer and dryer, knocking the house off the foundation somewhat, and damaging some walls, according to Bob Evans, a freelance writer who lives in the home in Kansas City, Kan.
Evans said he wasn’t injured, as he happened to be outdoors exercising at the time, and saw it happen.
A neighbor was moving his car when he hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending the car into the house, Evans said.
Evans had been planning to attend the theater tonight, but said he now won’t be able to go, with all the matters that need attending.
