A hit-and-run was reported Sunday on I-70 eastbound in Wyandotte County in an accident with three injuries.
According to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report, a gold-colored four-door sedan left the scene of an accident about 1:18 p.m. Sunday, March 4, between the 72nd Street and 57th Street exits on eastbound I-70.
The trooper’s report stated that a Toyota 4Runner was eastbound on I-70 when it attempted to change lanes and struck the gold vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota lost control and then struck the barrier wall, overturned, and came to a rest on its wheels, the trooper’s report stated. The gold sedan then fled, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Toyota, a 43-year-old man from Lawrence, Kansas, was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
Also injured were two passengers in the Toyota, a 46-year-old Lawrence, Kansas, woman, and a 10-year-old Lawrence, Kansas, girl, according to the trooper’s report.
