A Dodge Charger was entering I-70 eastbound from I-435 at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 when it hydroplaned and slid across the eastbound lanes, striking the barrier wall, a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report stated.
There was heavy rain, and the roadway was wet at the time. Then the Charger bounced off the wall and into the lanes, where it was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox, the report stated.
The driver of the Charger, a 26-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox, a 50-year-old woman from Bonner Springs, Kan., had possible injuries, the trooper’s report stated.
A passenger in the Equinox, a 70-year-old woman from Maceron, Mo., was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
