Two drivers from Kansas City, Kan., were southbound on I-35, in Merriam, Kan., at 8:44 a.m. Monday, May 11, when one struck the other in slow traffic.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a 21-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man driving a Pontiac Bonneville hit the back of a Chevrolet van on I-35 southbound.
The van, which had slowed for traffic, was driven by a 41-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, the report stated.
The driver of the Bonneville was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report. The driver of the van was not injured.
