A 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix car that was westbound on I-70 was involved in a crash at 4:31 p.m. Dec. 1, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The Grand Prix attempted to take the exit ramp from I-70 to northbound I-435, but it ran off the road to the right, the trooper’s report stated. The Grand Prix then traveled down an embankment, crossed over State Avenue and came to rest on the north side of State Avenue, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the car, a 44-year-old Independence, Mo., woman, was taken to the hospital with a possible injury, according to the trooper’s report.
