A candidate meet-and-greet is planned from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct.27, at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kansas.
Candidates who were invited include governor and lieutenant governor, secretary of state, and some state senators and state representatives.
The event is sponsored by the Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Connection Committee, with local co-sponsoring chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, NAACP of Johnson County, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta and Jack and Jill of America, Johnson County Chapter.
