A camel took a stroll around Bonner Springs on Sunday, Dec. 5, according to the Bonner Springs Police Department.
Officers used a golf cart from Sunflower Hills Golf Course to start the chase.
The camel, which can run up to 40 mph, got away and went to K-7 and into some neighborhoods, police reported.
An animal control officer then got out of her vehicle and lassoed the camel on Nettleton, according to police.
