Burn ban lifted

The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department today has lifted a burn ban, according to a spokesman.

The burn season also has been extended to Nov. 25.

In order to burn leaves, lawn clippings, tree branches or twigs, residents are required to get a burn permit from the nearest fire station. There is a 24-hour waiting period.
