The Kansas Department of Transportation will conduct bridge inspections, Wednesday, March 11, in multiple locations in Wyandotte County, weather permitting.
Wednesday morning short-term lane closures include:
• I-635 southbound, from I-70 to Speaker Road, the right lane will be closed.
• I-635 northbound and southbound, over Douglas Avenue, the right lane will be closed.
• U.S. 69/7th Street over I-70 eastbound, the right lane will be closed.
Wednesday afternoon short-term lane closures include:
• K-32 eastbound and westbound, alternating lane closures on the Kansas River Bridge.
• I-435 northbound and southbound, alternating lane closures over Georgia Avenue.
• I-435 northbound, alternating lane closures at K-5.
Traffic will be controlled by mobile lane closures using trucks with arrow boards and digital message board, according to a KDOT spokesman.
The spokesman urged all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.
