Breezy weather could lead to increased fire danger Tuesday, with storms possible Tuesday night

Breezy and warm conditions may lead to an increased fire danger on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The wind on Monday will be from the southeast and will become 5 to 9 mph south southeast in the morning, the weather service said. Today’s high will be 79, with sunny skies.

On Tuesday, there will be a south southeast wind of 9 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 30 mph, according to the weather service.

On-and-off thunderstorms are expected Tuesday night through Thursday, and a few strong storms are possible late Tuesday night, Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night, and again on Thursday, according to the weather service.

Wednesday’s severe weather situation is the most uncertain at this time, but it has the potential to be the strongest storm, the weather service said

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 62, according to the weather service, and a southeast wind of 8 mph.

Tuesday, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 78 with a south southaest wind of 9 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday night, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 60, with a south southeast wind of 6 to 11 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 79, according to the weather service, and a light south wind will become south southeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 64.

Thursday, the forecast is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 81, according to the weather service.

Thursday night, the chance of showers and thunderstorms is 50 percent, with a low of 47, the weather service said.

Thursday night and Friday, there is a big change in temperatures. The high will be near 61 on Friday with partly sunny skies, according to the weather service. Friday night’s low will be around 43.
