The Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities has launched a video highlighting the multiple steps it is taking to increase the use of renewable resources.
This video outlines in detail their commitment to the environment, as well as information about the programs and processes it employs to conserve energy, according to a spokesman.
BPU is one of the greenest utilities in America, with 45 percent of its energy coming through renewable resources, a spokesman stated.
“We’re always working to find new, innovative and cost-effective means to harvest power in ways that lessen our environmental impact,” said David Mehlhaff, BPU chief communications officer. “It’s our responsibility as a utility to ensure clean, reliable service for years to come. And it’s our responsibility as members of the community to build for a better tomorrow.”
The video is online at https://www.bpu.com/greeninitiatives/renewableenergy.aspx and is also on the BPU YouTube page.
