Board of Public Utilities customers without power as of 9:10 a.m. Sunday, June 18, were 5,378, according to the BPU’s power outage map.
Two storms, one on Friday night and one on Saturday night, resulted in power outages across Wyandotte County.
Outages totaled around 9,000 at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, after hitting a high of about 13,000 around 10:08 p.m. Saturday, after the storm.
BPU customers may report power outages to 913-573-9522, and water service problems to 913-573-9622.
Power outages also may be reported online on the BPU’s website at www.bpu.com.
