Bonner Springs plans community conversation on racism

Bonner Springs plans a community conversation on racism from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the First Christian Church, 148 N. Nettleton, Bonner Springs.

It is an opportunity to hear what community leaders are doing to create unity, justice, healing and reconciliation, according to a spokesman.

Guests include Bonner Springs Mayor Jeff Harrington, Edwardsville Mayor John McTaggart, Bonner Springs Superintendent of Schools Dan Brungardt, Bonner Springs NAACP representative Olliea Jarrett, Bonner Springs Police Chief Mark Zaretski and Pastor Randy Beeman.

The community conversation is open to the public.
