A 57-year-old Bonner Springs woman was injured at 7:47 a.m. June 5 after her vehicle hydroplaned on I-70 and struck a rock embankment.
According to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report, the woman was driving a Toyota on westbound I-70 near Topeka when the accident happened. The region was experiencing heavy rains on Thursday morning.
The driver was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
