Bonner Springs celebrating annual Tiblow Days this weekend; Casi Joy to headline event

Country and pop singer Casi Joy will headline TIblow Days this weekend.

The 37th annual Tiblow Days runs Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 17 to 19, in Bonner Springs, Kan. The events are in downtown Bonner Springs, on Cedar, Front, Oak and Nettleton, and 2nd and 3rd streets. Casi Joy will perform on Saturday night.

According to Regina Utter, executive director of the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Chamber of Commerce, Joy is best known for being a contestant on The Voice, a singing show on NBC. She hails from Smithville, Mo., and is a graduate of Park University.

Another change for this year’s Tiblow Days is the addition of the Bonner Springs Farmers Market into the festival, according to Utter.

Friday’s free musical entertainment begins at 7 p.m. at Centennial Park and includes Andrew Hagar, Spencer Mackenzie Brown, and Rachel Mallin and the Wild Types.

Saturday’s musical entertainment, besides Casi Joy, will begin at 7 p.m. at Centennial Park and includes County Road Crossers, and Damien Gunn and the Bang Bangs.
