On a routine park check at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, sheriff’s deputies found a male body in the water at the north end of Pierson Lake, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
A fire rescue team retrieved the body, the spokesman stated. The lake is near South 55th and Douglas on the south side of Kansas City, Kansas.
Authorities are currently investigating the death, according to the spokesman. No identification has been released at this time.
