Black leaders will be recognized at a Black History Month program at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Beatrice Lee Recreation Center, 1310 N. 10th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet and hear from area Black leaders, who will share their stories with Kansas City, Kansas, residents.
Leaders who have been invited include Mayor Tyrone Garner, Unified Government Administrator Cheryl Harrison-Lee, District Attorney Mark Dupree, Police Chief Karl Oakman, BPU CEO Bill Johnson, Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools Superintendent Anna Stubblefield, and Kansas City, Kansas, Housing Authority Executive Director Andrea Tapia.
