Kansas City Kansas Community College’s 11th ranked Lady Blue Devils got more scoring off the bench than from the starters Tuesday in rolling to a 100-64 win over North Central Missouri.
The win boosted KCKCC to 11-1 for the season heading into a home game with Avila University’s JV Thursday at 5 p.m. The game will be the Lady Blue Devils’ last until after the holiday break when they resume Jayhawk Conference play against Brown Mackie Jan. 3.
Led by Rashaun Casey’s game high 19 points, the Blue Devil bench provided 51 of the 100 points. Sierra Roberts added nine points, Julia Garrard six and Janay Jacobs and Ky’Ana French five each to lead the way.
KCKCC also got balance from its starters. Cheyenne North led with 14 points and nine rebounds; Cassie Harbert had seven assists to go along with 14 points and five rebounds; Cierra Gaines had 11 points, six assists and five rebounds and Erin Anderson five steals, five assists and five points.
The Blue Devils had assists on 30 of their 40 field goals and committed just nine turnovers while forcing 24 Lady Pirate turnovers with 18 steals.
