A basement fire in a single-story residence was reported about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 1124 Custer Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
A spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department stated that crews responded and found smoke coming from the side basement window.
Crews attacked the fire for about 30 minutes until it was extinguished, the spokesman stated.
There was no cause determined yet for the fire, according to the spokesman. There were no injuries.
The damage was estimated at about $10,000.
