A bank robbery suspect was arrested near 7th and State Avenue after a call came in at 8:34 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
Early reports are that a note was given at a bank in the 700 block of Minnesota Avenue, according to the spokesman. The suspect was followed to 7th and State.
The Kansas City, Kansas, police chief remarked on social media that a retired Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department sergeant took the suspect into custody.
No one was injured in the incident, the police spokesman said.
