A 7-month-old baby is in critical condition after being shot in a drive-by shooting in the 2700 block of North Early Street, according to police.
A woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries in the same shooting, police said.
The shooting occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, according to police.
The two victims were inside their home when unknown suspects drove by and fired into the residence, wounding the victims, according to police.
There are no suspects or vehicle description at this time, police said, and public assistance is requested.
The shooting is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
