Safe travel campaign happening this holiday

The Kansas Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign has been going on this past week, through Monday, Nov. 28, according to a news release from the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office, Kansas HIghway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies are involved in extra efforts to actively enforce the traffic laws.

The Sheriff’s Office also wants residents to know that “Buckling Up Saves Lives,” according to the spokesman.

“Buckle Up. Your friends and family are counting on you to arrive safely this Thanksgiving. Click it. Don’t risk it,” the Sheriff’s Office reminds residents.
