Washington wins over Sumner Academy, 74-50

The Sumner Academy boys’ basketball team visited Washington High School on Feb. 17. Washington led the game throughout, winning 74 to 50.

Washington extended its winning streak to eight games and remains a half-game behind Schlagle in the Kansas City-Atchison League standings.

Bonner Springs victorious over Bishop Ward, 58-29

The Bishop Ward and Bonner Springs High School boys’ basketball teams played Feb. 14 at the Kansas City Kansas Community College, Bishop Ward’s home court. The game was dominated by Bonner Springs, who won the game 58 to 29.

Bonner Springs’ fourth-quarter scoring beats Cyclones, 47-39

The Bishop Ward and Bonner Springs High School girls’ basketball teams played Feb. 14 at the Kansas City Kansas Community College, Bishop Ward’s home court. Although Bishop Ward led 32 to 30 at the end of the third quarter, Bonner Springs outscored the Cyclones by 10 points in the fourth quarter to win the game 47 to 39.
