A fire in the attic of a home at 1619 N. 38th St. is suspected of being electrical in nature.
A spokesman for the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department said firefighters were called to the home about 4:07 a.m. Nov. 16 and found the fire in the attic of the home.
The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes. The occupants had left the building before firefighters arrived.
The fire is under investigation and possibly was electrical, according to the spokesman.
The Red Cross was called to assist three adults.
The estimated damage to the structure and contents was $25,000, the Fire Department stated. There were no injuries reported.
