Alcott highlights graphic and romance novels at new exhibit

Local literary artists will be in the limelight on Saturday at the Alcott Arts Center, 180 S. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

The graphic novels, romance novels and novellas exhibition will include a reception from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 12. The exhibit will run through June 2.

Authors and artists will talk about their works briefly at the reception.

Authors and artists scheduled to appear include “Lil’ Guy” graphic novelists James C. Rider II, Michael Valverde, Chuck G. Smith and artists Gabe Smith and Finnley Smith, paranormal romance author Lonita Cook, novella author Jill Jackard, novelist E.M. Hamill (Lisa Millham) and Amigoman comic book creator Anthony Oropeza.

The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
