A victim told police that he was stabbed during a robbery attempt at 3 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 1200 block of Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
An unknown suspect approached the man and asked for money, according to police. When the victim said he didn’t have any money, the suspect tried to stab him in the chest with a knife, the victim told police. The victim deflected the knife and was stabbed around his waist area.
The victim had non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The suspect was not found.
