After some fog this morning, the temperature will warm up to about 73, according to the National Weather Service.
The focus for hazardous weather remains on Saturday as a cold front moves into Kansas and Missouri, generating strong to severe thunderstorms across the entire outlook area in the late afternoon and continuing into the overnight hours, the weather service said.
Some storms may develop early Saturday morning, but severe weather is not expected to develop along the front until late in the afternoon to evening hours as the front sweeps across the area, according to the weather service.
Today, after a foggy start, the skies will gradually clear and the high will be about 73, the weather service said. A south southeast wind of 5 to 13 mph will gust as high as 21 mph.
Tonight, it will be mostly clear with a low of 61, according to the weather service, and a south wind of 9 mph.
Friday, look for sunny skies and a high near 83, with a south wind of 6 to 8 mph, the weather service said.
Friday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 66, according to the weather service, and a south southwest wind of 6 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Saturday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 83, and a south wind of 5 to 11 mph, gusting to 18 mph. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is expected.
Saturday night, there is a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 52, according to the weather service. Between three-quarter and one inch of rain is possible.
Sunday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 61, the weather service said.
Sunday night, skies will be mostly clear with a low of 42, according to the weather service.
Monday, it will be sunny with a high near 66, the weather service said.
