However, there is a chance of isolated rain showers in the central and eastern part of the state.
Sunday, there will be a 40 percent chance of rain and storms after 1 p.m., the weather service said.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 87, according to the weather service. A southwest wind of 7 to 14 mph may gust as high as 20 mph.
A weak front settling south Sunday afternoon and evening will generate some thunderstorm activity across eastern Kansas and Missouri, the weather service said. Some of these storms may be strong to severe.
Primary hazards with Sunday’s storms could be hail and gusty to locally damaging winds, along with dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning and moderate rainfall, the weather service said.
Sunday night, there is a 20 percent chance of precipitation and storms, with a low of 66, according to the weather service.
Monday, expect sunny weather with a high near 84, the weather service said. Monday night, the low will be 68.
Tuesday’s weather should be mostly sunny, with a high near 89, the weather service said.
