After chase, suspect’s vehicle hits police vehicle and others

Police located a stolen vehicle about 7:37 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 1100 block of Sandusky, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers saw the suspects try to ram other vehicles, and a chase started, according to the report

The pursuit ended in the 5300 bock of Parallel Parkway, where the suspect’s vehicle struck another vehicle and a police vehicle before becoming disabled, the report stated.

Two persons were taken into custody, according to the report.

Victim of accident on Mission Road found to be suspect in shooting

The victim of an accident at 10 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 4600 block of Mission Road was found to be a suspect in a shooting in the area, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers responded to the possible shooting and injury accident call and found a person who had crashed in a stolen black Dodge Ram, according to the report. The driver was a suspect in a shooting.

Victim attacked on Willard Court

A victim stated an unknown person approached her from behind, put a cloth around her neck and began to strangle her about 6 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 4100 block of Willard Court, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The suspect fled. The victim was taken to a hospital, according to the report.

Assault reported on South Mill Street

An aggravated assault was reported at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 300 block of South Mill Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

According to a victim, the suspect was attempting to deal with a family matter, and allegedly the suspect pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the victim, causing him to fear for his life, according to the report. The suspect then fled.
