An injury-accident was reported at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 5 on westbound I-70 near the Turner Diagonal exit, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Toyota 4Runner was westbound on I-70 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, it overturned and collided with an inside barrier wall, according to the trooper’s report. The vehicle came to rest on its side.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Leawood, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
Crash reported on I-70 near 57th Street exit
Another separate crash was reported about 7:53 a.m. Sept. 5 on I-70 near the 57th Street exit, according to a trooper’s report.
A Nissan Sentra and a Chevrolet Impala were westbound on I-70 when the Sentra lost control, striking the Impala in the outside lane, the trooper’s report stated.
The Sentra and Impala then hit the outside guardrail, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Sentra, a 25-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Impala, a 43-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, was not injured, the report stated.
Crash reported near I-70 and Park Drive
A third, separate crash was reported at 5:45 a.m. Sept. 5 on westbound I-70 near Park Drive, according to a trooper’s report.
The crash involved a GMC Yukon, according to the trooper’s report.
A 35-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.
A 32-year-old man who was a passenger in the Yukon also had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
