An accident was reported at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, on eastbound I-70 near I-435, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Cadillac and a Honda PC were eastbound on I-70 when the Honda lost control on the icy surface, according to the report. The Cadillac collided with the rear of the Honda PC, according to the report.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 61-year-0ld man from Kansas City, Kansas, had no apparent injury, according to the report.
The driver of the Honda PC, a 37-year-old woman from Platte City, Missouri, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.
Another, unrelated accident, was reported at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 26 on eastbound I-70, east of the I-435 exit.
According to a trooper’s report, a Dodge sport utility vehicle was westbound on I-70 when the driver lost control on icy roads, entered the median and struck the barrier wall.
The driver, a 49-year-old man from Raytown, Missouri, had no apparent injury, according to the report.
A passenger in the Dodge, a 38-year-old woman from Topeka, Kansas, had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital in Topeka, the report stated.
