Several accidents were reported on area highways on Wednesday morning.
Some of the highways had slick spots this morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, an injury accident was reported about 7:10 a.m. Dec. 30 on southbound I-635 near Leavenworth Road.
A Ford F150 truck was southbound in the middle lane of I-635 and was struck on the rear driver’s side by an unknown white truck, the trooper’s report stated. Then the F150 truck was pushed into the guardrail on the right side, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Ford F150 truck, a 47-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital, with a possible minor injury, the report stated.
In a separate accident, a driver northbound on I-635 just north of 18th Street had a minor injury, according to the trooper’s report.
The Toyota Tacoma was northbound on I-635 about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday when the driver lost control and struck the bridge rail, the report stated.
The driver, a 44-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
Another accident was reported at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday on southbound I-435, about a half-mile south of Leavenworth Road, according to a trooper’s report.
A Chevy Trailblazer was southbound on I-435 when it struck a patch of ice, overcorrected, lost control, spun several times and then overturned, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver, a 55-year-old man from Parkville, Missouri, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
