An accident was reported at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, on eastbound I-70, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The accident was between I-435 and 78th Street.
A Volvo tractor-trailer was eastbound on I-70 when it went off the road to the left, collided with the ditch and flipped onto its side, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver’s arm was pinned beneath the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire and medical personnel, according to the report. The driver’s arm was injured.
The 34-year-old Independence, Missouri, man driving the Volvo was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
