An accident was reported at 10:47 p.m. recently on I-70 west of the 78th Street exit.
According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report, a Ford car hydroplaned on westbound I-70 and hit the barrier wall.
The driver, a 21-year-old man from Lawrence, Kan., was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.
Another accident was reported by the Kansas Turnpike Authority at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 on I-70 near I-635 in Kansas City, Kan.
The trooper’s report stated that a Saturn was westbound on I-70 when it left the roadway, entered the median, and struck a pole.
The driver, a 28-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
