A possible injury was reported in an accident at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, on southbound I-435 at K-32, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Chevrolet Malibu was traveling in the southbound lane on I-435 when the vehicle veered to the right shoulder, striking the right guardrail, according to the trooper’s report. After impact, the vehicle went across all lanes and into the grass median. The vehicle then struck the guardrail to the left, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Malibu, a 36-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was taken to a hospital with a possible minor injury, according to the trooper’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt, the report stated.
