An accident was reported on southbound I-35, south of 7th Street, about 4:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash report.
A Toyota Corolla and a Hyundai Sonata were southbound on I-35 when the Sonata slowed because of traffic, and the Corolla collided with the rear of the Sonata, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Corolla, a 17-year-old male from Kansas City, Kansas, had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Sonata, a 20-year-old woman from Merriam, Kansas, was not injured.
Two passengers in the Sonata also were not injured. They were a 20-year-old woman from Gretna, Nebraska, and a 21-year-old woman from Birmingham, Alabama.
