An accident was reported at 12:10 a.m. Sept. 4 on eastbound I-70 at Minnesota Avenue exit in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Honda Accord was eastbound on I-70 when it rear-ended a Chrysler Sebring that was stopped on the highway because it was out of gas, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Accord, a 67-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, was taken to a hospital with a possible injury, the trooper’s report stated.
No one was in the Sebring at the time of the crash, the report stated. A 23-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman was standing outside of her vehicle at the time, according to the trooper’s report. She was not injured.
