An injury-accident was reported at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, near northbound 18th and Ruby, just south of Metropolitan, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
An Infiniti was northbound on 18th while a Dodge Caliber was merging onto 18th from Ruby Avenue, according to the trooper’s report.
The Infiniti struck the rear of the Caliber and then the Caliber struck the right barrier wall. The Caliber then overturned and the Infiniti drove off the right side of the road, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Caliber, a 62-year-old woman from Kansas City, Kansas, had a possible minor injury and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 48-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, had a possible minor injury and was taken to the hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
