Two lives were lost on Monday afternoon on I-635 near Kaw Drive, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A 2022 Ford Ranger was southbound on I-635 approaching I-70 at 4 p.m., driving aggressively, and left the roadway to the right, according to the trooper’s report.
The Ranger continued in the ditch and came to a gap between southbound I-635 and the I-70 eastbound ramp to southbound I-635, the trooper’s report stated.
The Ranger then entered the gap, went airborne and landed on its rooftop on Kaw Drive, according to the trooper’s report. The location was 4240 Kaw Drive Frontage Road, Kansas City, Kansas.
The driver, Nicholas Michael Munoz, 35, of Plant City, Florida, lost his life, the trooper’s report stated.
Joshua Daniel Foster, 39, of Spring Hill, Kansas, a passenger, also was fatally injured, the report stated.
